  Do not recommend.
  We had 4 tax returns done, paying at the time for half and requested remaining taken out of return, 5 months later had over $200 taken from my bank out of the blue and when contacted I was advised that it was due to what they referred to as a 'bad debt' as they hadn't taken it out of the refund due to THEIR processing error.
  Asked why there was no contact about this and advice that money would be taken out and was basically told we signed a form that they could.
  
  In response to the reply below, in my case there was no money owing to the ATO and it was an error on the companies end as admitted by them, the biggest issue still remains the fact they just took the money when suited them without advice that they had made an error and to advise there was an amount outstanding and without advice it would be taken to allow people time to ensure funds are in the account. A simple email, letter or phone call would suffice as they had all of our current details on file, very poor communication.

  Really annoyed and upset. when I lodged my tax return I advised that I had worked from home the entire year, and asked if we could claim the hourly rate, the agent looked at me confused and had no idea what I was talking about.
  After using the ATO's calulator and ammending my return, I have discovered that I was short changed around 1100 dollars!!!!
  
  It would have taken him a total of 30 seconds of searching the ATO website to discover what I was talking about.

  Made appointment a week prior to go in my lunch break and allowed 1 hour. I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes before i finally had to ask what was going on. Was told - sorry, but one of the accountants has left early for the day and another has gone for lunch! Shouldnt I have been told this before i wasted my whole lunch break for nothing...very unprofessional. If they were down one accountant why had another gone for linch when there were customers waiting...it was only 12pm! Must have been very hungry! Very limited parking too.

  Originally had a negative experience but Happy tax, had another look at my expenses, income + deductions + amended my tax return. I really appreciate the 2nd look + the customer service to improve my past experience, was exceptional.

  Never again! I had a horrible experience yesterday when I did my tax return. I was spoken to very rudely, and made to feel like an idiot several times. If I hadn’t have paid upfront I would have walked out. Also I booked an appointment with Happy Tax as it is $99 and is advertised as coming out of your return but I was informed that wasn’t correct and that it would cost me $36 more to do that which I couldn’t do because my return was $112. I am on abstudy, studying full time and a single mum. I am appalled by the treatment I received.
